Trend- Rose Gold Nails

Hi guys!

Recently, I've been seeing a few rose-gold nail polishes about, so I thought I'd share with you some colours and brands that I like the look of. I haven't tried any of these (yet!) so I won't be doing a full review but I will be comparing prices and colours! So here we go...

Topshop- Suffuse £6

This rosy gold shade is lovely for spring and summer and can instantly brighten up an outfit! It has more of a golden undertone rather than pink and has glitter in!

No 7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour- So Simple £6

This nail polish is a beautiful golden colour and really compliments any skin tone! Similar to the Topshop one, this varnish is more of a golden colour.

Orly- Rage £7.50

This really is a true rose gold colour! It has the perfect mix of pink and gold, with a little bit of shimmer, and looks lovely!

Essie- Buy Me A Cameo £7.99

I was in Boots the other day when I spotted this gorgeous Rose Gold Shade for just under eight quid. It is a beautiful rosy shade with iridescent gold  in it. I think that this could be the perfect shade...

Kure Bazaar- Or Rose £14.95

I saw this colour on Fleur De Force's blog, and loved it! However, at just under fifteen quid, it's not something I'll be buying any time soon...

So that's my roundup of the best rose-gold nail polishes! If you know of any others please leave a comment. Do you have any of these and what are your thoughts on the rose-gold trend?

What's in my Make Up Bag

Hi guys!

Recently I got a new make up bag, so I thought it would be a good time to show you what I have in it! Obviously, I don't carry around all of my make up, but I do have a few touch-up products in here. These are mainly my most used products.

First up, the actual make up bag! I have the London Print Large Wash/Make Up bag from Cath Kidston. It cost £15 (there are cheaper ones out there) but it is massive! I can easily fit in loads of stuff. But the main thing that really attracted me was the gorgeous print! It is a lovely navy blue colour with London Landmarks on it- very patriotic! These famous sights include Big Ben, the London Eye and even Buckingham Palace! I am very pleased with it.

(my other CK washbag in the background!)

See what I mean about the lovely print?!

So that's the bag, but what's in it?

Miss Sporty XX Long Mascara

I've had this long enough for the name to have almost rub off- it's lasted me quite a while! I bought this for no particular reason other than it was a cheap black mascara. I think it was about £3.99, which makes it great value for money! The wand is very thin and slightly angled, which makes it perfect for getting all my lashes. I love it so much, and at that kind of price, I'm glad I got it.

Benefit Most Glamorous Nudes Ever

I briefly reviewed this in a previous post, so I won't go into too much detail. It is basically a palette of 6 neutral eyeshadows (2 cream, 2 powder) but the colours are beautiful! It is a bit overpriced for what you get (there's not much product for the amount of money) but I'm pleased I bought it. At £23.50, I'm not sure if I'll be repurchasing this!

(Click for brief overview)
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

I had heard this being raved about by lots of bloggers/youtubers so I thought I'd give it a go. Besides, at about £4, I wasn't risking anything. I do think this concealer is good for the odd blemish, but as I don't wear foundation, I guess I don't get the full effect. I do however, like mixing this with my moisturizer every now and again to create a very light coverage giving tinted moisturizer! (I tip I saw in a video by Beauty Crush)

Again, the label has worn off!
Barry M Kohl Eyeliner

I love this £2 bronzy liner! It's great for touching up my eye make up when I want a bit more definition. It can be used along the lashline, blended into the crease or roughly smudged across the lid as a base.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo

Again, another product briefly reviewed here. I love this creamy eyeshadow (I have it in On and On Bronze) as it is under £5 and can be used in multiple ways; personally I like to blend it into the crease with my ring or little finger, but it can be used across the entire eyelid if time is of the essence.

Vaseline

If I have dry lips, or just want a bit of a glossy finish to my lips, I go to my Vaseline. It's so cheap and affordable, and everyone had a tin lying around somewhere!

Soap & Glory Lip Stick

This lipstick comes in a variety of colours- I have Super Nude, which is (you guessed it!) a nude/peach colour. Admittedly, it is quite drying on the lips and cost £9, which is a bit overpriced for what it is, and therefore I won't be buying it again! I still use it occasionally, but with a bit of Vaseline to soften my lips.

As for brushes, I have a couple of mini ones which are handy for travelling. (I keep my full sized ones at home!) I think they are from Boots own brand but I'm not sure how much they were!

(I also have this cute little Clarins brush that came with a blusher!)
So that's the contents of my make up bag! What are your make up must haves? Let me know if you would like full review on any of these products.

High Street vs High End- The best make up dupes

Hi guys!
As much as we all love to splash out on an expensive lipstick, mascara or blush, not all of us have the money to buy tonnes of high end make up, so I've found a few drugstore/ high street dupes!

Benefit Most Glamourous Nudes Ever Vs Soap and Glory Lid Stuff

I have both of these palettes and they are great! If you are looking for a cheap and affordable neutral eyeshadow quad then I suggest Soap and Glory's Lid Stuff Set in What's Nude. The 4 colours (a milky-white, pinky-brown, matte brown and brown shimmer with purple undertones) are beautiful and although they aren't very pigmented, you can build them up for a more intense look.

The set retails for £10

The more expensive option is one of Benefit's World Famous Neutrals sets. I have the most glamourous nudes ever which is perfect! The 2 cream eyeshadows (Birthday suit- a chrome/ taupe and My Two Cents- a coppery bronze) are really smooth and highly pigmented. The 4 powder shadows (Call my buff- a milky white shimmer, It's complicated- a shimmery peach, Guilt-y pleasure- a bronze/gold and Kiss me I'm tipsy- a brown shimmer) also have great pigmentation and are beautiful! I recommend this if you want better quality eyeshadows.

The palette comes in a book shaped box and retails for £23.50

Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows Vs Maybelline Colour Tattoos

I love the two creaseless cream shadows that came in the Benefit World Famous Neutrals set, but they are about £15 if you buy them full size, so when I bought one of Maybelline's Colour Tattoos, I was intrigued to see if they were similar...

I have the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, which is a gorgeous bronzy colour. It has great colour pay- off for such an affordable and cheap product, and comes in a variety of nudes and brights! I really recommend these if you want a creamy base (it can be used on its own) for eyeshadows. And at just under £5, it is very good value!

You can also blend this into other cream products

The Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow that I have is Birthday Suit, and it is a lovely taupe/ chrome colour. It is lovely and shimmery on the eyes, and can be used as an inner corner highlight to brighten up tired eyes. Compared to the Colour Tattoo, it has more of a silvery undertone rather than a brown/bronzy one.(Unfortunately, the new collection containing Birthday Suit and other new colours hasn't come out in the UK yet, but it was part of a previous collection so it may still be available. If not, you'll have to wait a month or so!!!)

(a bit out of focus- apologises!)

(again, a little fuzzy!) left: Maybelline Colour Tattoo right: Benfit Cream Shadow.
Note: I have the mini Benefit version.

And there you have it! I'm pretty sure there are many other high street duplications out there that I haven't purchased yet, so please leave me a comment telling me any dupes that you know of!
