Dr Jart Water Fuse BB Cream Review

Dr Jart + Water Fuse BB - £11.99

Okay, I gave in. I'd been eyeing up the much-raved about low-coverage offering for a while, but £18 was a tad too steep for me. So when it was rapidly reduced to just under 12 pounds, I had no regrets about getting the Dr Jart Water Fuse BB Cream.

In terms of coverage, it's definitely sheer, but buildable. I dotted it around my face and then blended it in with my hands for a seamless finish, but I'm sure that brush application would result in a more flawless look.

I'm surprised at how well it matches my skin tone, as being one of the first 'big' BB Creams, it only comes in one shade that supposedly blends to suit each individual. The colour would be okay for slightly more tanned skins and slightly fairer but anyone with very dark skin would really have to buff it in. It blends to a very dewy finish, but I patted it down with my hands to mattify it, and takes a while to sink in, but overall I really like how it looks on the skin.

And of course, the most beneficial thing about BB's is their skincare element. it's an SPF 25, and as it rarely gets very warm in the UK (she says, with the sun streaming through her windows...) I'm not going to need any more than that.

In terms of skin types, I'd say that it would suit anything from dry to oily, but not extremes of either. Dr Jart do offer a range of BBs aimed at different skin types, so if this one isn't for you I'd recommend giving the others a go!
